The Horizon Collection by KĀDNS transforms light into a quiet form of poetry. A visual rhythm inspired by the natural transitions of sunrise and sunset. Each piece captures the delicate balance between motion and stillness, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their own sense of time.
The collection consists of three unique lighting objects: Canvas, Revolve, and Eclipse. Each explores the relationship between movement, material, and atmosphere in a distinct way. Canvas translates light into a slow choreography of reflections on stretched fabric, turning illumination itself into a living artwork. Revolve, made of hand-blown glass, captures the fleeting glow of twilight and the quiet energy of motion. Eclipse reduces the concept to its purest essence, creating a meditative presence through a soft, rotating light. Together, the three pieces form a cohesive narrative about rhythm, emotion, and the sensory experience of light.
The Horizon Collection explores how light shapes atmosphere and emotion. Each object is designed not simply to illuminate but to enhance well-being. Through careful modulation of brightness, warmth, and shadow, KĀDNS creates lighting that resonates emotionally and transforms interior spaces into calm, contemplative environments.
Founded in 2022 by industrial designers Echo Zhan and Viola Yingqiu Huang, KĀDNS grew out of a desire to move beyond the relentless pace of the tech industry. For both designers, light became a medium for mindfulness, a way to reintroduce intention and beauty into daily life. Their work merges functionality with artistic expression, using movement and materiality to create meaningful sensory experiences.
The Horizon Collection embodies this philosophy in its purest form. It treats light as emotion, movement as meditation, and design as a bridge between technology and humanity. Rather than merely brightening a room, it invites you to slow down and experience light as a gentle reminder to breathe.
